Embracing the Natural Harmony: Rediscovering Our Connection to the Earth

ホームページ内ブログ

Humans exist as part of the natural world. This connection cannot be ignored. The elements of nature, such as trees, rivers, earth, and wind, are all deeply intertwined with our existence. In daily life, we often take nature’s blessings for granted and forget to reflect on the laws and harmony behind them. However, the laws of nature are also the laws of health. Understanding and accepting these laws is key to restoring our own well-being and harmony.

Everything has a beginning and an end. Acknowledging this universal truth of the universe is not easy. We tend to desire ownership and permanence, fearing change and loss. But everything is in constant flux. For instance, the visible beauty of blooming flowers or the grand landscapes of mountains are mere expressions of existence in time. They originally arise from nothing and return to nothing. By accepting this impermanence, we can live more freely.

Let’s start by realizing that what we think exists may, in fact, not. What we believe to be “real” is often temporary and fragile, without true value in itself. Recognizing this is crucial, but beginning with the thought, “Is that so?” might be a good first step.

When speaking with mountaineers, they often say that immersing themselves in nature reminds them of how small they are. At the same time, they also feel a deep connection to the entire universe. While we may not face the harsh conditions of mountaineers, even in less extreme environments, we can feel the connection to nature when we listen to the whispers of the trees or the sound of flowing water. By cherishing this connection, we can eventually rediscover our true selves.

For modern people like us, surrendering to the rhythms of nature is difficult. Remembering that we are part of nature is the key to building our health and happiness.
